NRCC Statement on MI-04

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released the following statement on Michigan’s 4th Congressional District primary election: 

“Congressman Bill Huizenga consistently delivers real results for Southwest Michigan, providing common sense conservative leadership through fiscal discipline and government accountability. While Huizenga fights for Michiganders, Democrat Tax Man Sean McCann has a rich history of raising costs and lining his own pockets. Tax Man McCann is too extreme for Michigan and he will be rejected by voters this fall.”  – NRCC Spokesman Zach Bannon

BACKGROUND

• Bill Huizenga consistently over performs the top of the ticket:
  • In 2024 he overperformed Trump by 6.2%
  • In 2022 he overperformed the GOP candidate for Governor by 12.7%
• Mike Rogers, who is at the top of the ticket again in 2026, won MI-04 by 6.1% in his 2024 Senate race.
