New House Power Rankings: NC-01 on the Brink of Flipping Red

Don Davis is in serious trouble, and the whole country knows it.

Another national outlet has identified NC-01 as a top Democrat seat to flip this cycle, after National Journal named it a top pickup opportunity yesterday.

The dynamics on the ground are trending toward Republicans. Davis barely survived in 2024, and the new NC-01 is far worse for him: President Trump would have won it by 11 points in 2024.

Davis’ biggest vulnerability? His own record. He voted against the Working Families Tax Cut’s relief for Eastern North Carolina families, farmers, and seniors and refused to take a stand to protect women and girls’ sports.
