Democrats’ AZ-01 Primary Meddling Surpasses $3 Million Mark
Democrats committed more than $3 million to “meddling” in the AZ-01 Democrat primary, according to a new analysis of advertising reservations and independent expenditure filings.
- How they got here: The DCCC’s “baffling” interference sparked a “growing firestorm.” Local Democrats and political analysts questioned Democrats’ strategy: “Why they got involved in a primary race, I do not know. What’s the gain? What’s to be gained from this?“
- The damage is done: That’s $3 million Democrats won’t be spending in the general election. For their troubles, Democrats got a race to the far-left primary with Amish Shah, Marlene Galan-Woods and Jonathan Treble taking toxic positions sure to hurt them in the general election.
“D.C. Democrats torching $3 million to fuel this dumpster fire Democrat primary has already backfired. Arizonans won’t vote for the massive tax hikes, open borders and socialist government takeover of healthcare these Democrats promised.” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
